Report of English School Outing Programme Part IV

 Part IV

Eleventh Day, Borobudur vs Prambanan                                      Thu, 14th of  June 2012

Which one did we get many foreigners there in last day?
Last day in Prambanan temple was not too different from Borobudur temple. I said truly because when Sufyan and I did SOP in Borobudur temple especially in last day we got no foreigners. We had asked many foreigners to join conversation with us but no foreigners wanted to make conversation. In Prambanan we just got lucky on Thursday which was second of SOP in Prambanan. Last day in two temples we didn’t get lucky, but our condition in Prambanan was better. Although we didn’t get many foreigners to have conversation for long time, but I met two foreigners from Japan and had conversation with them.
In Prambanan we met many foreigners who couldn’t have conversation with us. We went around Prambanan for many times and we got no foreigner. Today was no foreigners, no practicing but today was only joking taking picture and talking with students from MA Muhamidyah Ngawi.
We shared all about us with students of MA Muhammadiyah Ngawi. Because they were doing as like us. Student of MA Ngawi just did their PKL in a day. They went to Prambanan in the morning and went home in the afternoon. But as I saw most of them just took picture and minim conversation. Although we didn’t get foreigners but we could share with some students of MA Muhammadiyah Ngawi.
Last day in Prambanan we met many students who came from Ngawi and Purworejo who practiced their English. We were proud although we didn’t get foreigners our speaking was better than them. We were more professional and we had more experience.
But were not arrogant, because we still need more practicing and learning English. We had to study, learn, and practicing English, we had to not stop our studying and practicing here. Having conversation with many foreigners made us be shy, we felt our English was still bad.
I was happy because I was always with my partner when we had conversation with foreigners. We were separated and didn’t have conversation together only three or four times and if you knew that our friends were often separated and had conversation with other partner especially or Imam and Adib. I belived Adib never began asking foreigners. Great SOP !

Twelfth Day, Malioboro Street Again.                                            Fri, 15th of June 2012

Today was the second day in Malioboro Street, we walked at Sosrowijayan Street. We entered to some narrow in Sosrowijayan Street, than we met foreigners in front of travelling street at 08.15 a.m. We met foreigners from Holland, the first when we wanted to talked with them. They said “You want to talk with me? But don’t talk about football”. We though they didn’t understand about football, but apparently she shy because Holland was lost in EURO three times, at this season. Than we talked with the boy too, he was backpacker, when I saw him I think about someone that racer, yeah Valentino Rosi from Italy. His face was near same with Valentino Rosi. There we did not talk long time because they would go to Bromo Mountain. Oh yea I learned a little word of Dutch from him.
After that, we walked around every narrow street in Sosrowijayan, but no foreigner we found. So we decided to go to Keraton. How lucky we are! When we arrived in Keraton than we came to the ticket window but the official said, “Just enter! Last time has there your friends from Brebes right?” actually we didn’t understand what did she mean, we wanted to pay but she refused us. Then I think why should confused? Just enter and free! Oh thanks god, this was our lucky. We met a boy inside, Italian boy on vacation, he had just finished his study in a University in Italy.
We enjoy our talking there, we talk about daily food there, education, and many other,  but suddenly there were some girl came, they wanted to take some pictures with him, Italian boy. They confused to ask to him, with a little English combine by body language he (Italian boy) still confused what they wanted. At least I explain to him if they wanted to take picture but they could not speak English well. Than we walked around Keraton together, from the first until finished and closed again. He said he would go to bird market and he invite us but at that time we had to go to pray jumat, so we just refused it with a politeness.

The Last Day! Go shopping!                                                            Sun, 17th of June 2012
Borobudur, Prambanan and Malioboro street were visited by us. Started from Monday, 4th of June we practiced our English in Borobudur temple, on Monday, 11th of June we practiced our English in Prambanan temple. And today was last time we visited Malioboro Street to go shopping. If you were with us too wouldn’t be bored. Why? Because we went around Malioboro Street, Keraton, Van den burg castle, Clever Garden, Ramayana and all around Shopping centre.
After practicing with foreigners for eleven days and visiting Gunungpring graveyard. Today we were going to refreshing, today our teachers gave us much time to do what we wanted in Malioboro Street. It was good opportunity for us, because it was free so the students did what they wanted around Malioboro Street.
Last day in Malioboro Street I didn’t want to buy anything except thing that was interesting. Although I had gone around from shopping centre, Bringharjo traditional market, Ramayana, Malioboro Street, I didn’t find what I wanted. Finally I decided to go to Jogja Electronic Centre (JEC). My wish only one I just wanted to buy MP3. Cit2 … by the way where was JEC? I didn’t know where it was located so I had to ask. Yah … I took a rest in front of Gede mosque by drinking dawet ice I asked the seller “Sir, where is JEC?” he explained where I should go during his explaining I finished my drinking. After that immediately I went to JEC.
I arrived in front of big building which there was writing Jogja Electronic Center. Wow … I was not being lost! I had arrived! When I came in. Many hand phone, laptop, note book, flash disk and all about electronic but in the first stair and second stair I didn’t find MP3.
I met Mumtaz and Erwin in third stair. “Hey what do you buy? “ I asked. Oh I just buy MP3 Mumtaz answered. Mumtaz said that prize of MP3 was 45.000. It was more expensive than my friend MP3 which was bought in sigma. So, I decided to go around looking for MP3 which was cheaper than Mumtaz’s MP3.
Finally I got MP3 that I wanted. Although the price was more expensive than the other my friends I was satisfied because the seller was honest.
I left Malioboro Street with many experiences that were unforgettable.
